Short Observational Documentary about the event "Life, Death and the Rest" organised by Arnos Vale cemetery. The aim of this documentary as well of this annual event is to change the popular perception of cemeteries as a scary sad place to be at into a friendly, free time location.

Premise:
Graveyards, places of endless emptiness and sorrow provoked by the topic of death. At least this is the most common conception of our contemporary society. However, there is a graveyard that wants to stand against this stereotype and show that one can spend his free time in a friendly warm spirit and educate himself or socialise with other people and perhaps shine a different light on dying and death itself.
Project Outline:
Arnos Vale is a Victorian cemetery located in Bristol funded by charity events and cared for by volunteers. Annually Arnos Vale hosts an event called Life, Death and the Rest which wants to support a growing social movement talking about death, and how we remember our loved ones.
We intend to follow the main message of the event and express that cemeteries are not only accessible during sad moments of our lives moreover a scary dangerous place as portrayed in horror movies but rather a place like any other where people can gather to socialise.
Starting our documentary with the widely accepted notion of cemeteries we later want to gradually use footage from the event which will change the atmosphere to a rather lively one.
